Cookies and browser storage

Last updated 8 October 2026

Route To AI saves small pieces of information in your browser, in cookies and in local storage. Most of it is needed for the site to work. A little of it counts visits without knowing who you are.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share this information for advertising.

1. What is essential

Essential storage keeps you signed in, remembers your theme, and keeps your progress, enrolments, lab ticks and certificate codes in your browser. The site cannot work without it, so it does not need consent.

2. Anonymous visit counts

We also save a random ID so we can count visits, the pages people read and how long a page is active. We use it to see which lessons help and which tools people click. It has no name and no email. We do not store your IP address with it.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we only do this after you press Accept. Elsewhere it is on by default, and you can choose "Essential only" in the notice to turn it off.

4. How to change your choice

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. The privacy notice will then appear again and you can choose again. Signing out also clears your saved progress from that browser.

Our hosting provider may use its own technical cookies for security, such as protecting the site from attacks. They are needed to deliver the service.

For more about what we collect, read the privacy policy.
